working with gray.

well we signed a lease on a town home in nashville monday night and i am so excited i can barely stand it.

the walls are this great color of gray, the color gray i always dream about, the color gray that i always see in in restoration hardware and say "i love this color," the color gray that is hip and cool and modern.. but there is a problem. gray is great and awesome when you have a great and awesome budget to buy wonderful white couches and you live in a magazine where white couches never get dirty. but i dont have a budget like that and i dont live in a magazine.

so i am scouring the internet for scotch-guarded white slip covers that i can throw in the washing machine every few weeks and fun, bright affordable accents to bring it all together.

i currently have a bookmarked folder entitled, "ikea wish list" and have the gas tank full to drive to atlanta at any moment.

here are some inspirational photos of a world where people live with white couches that are miraculously clean. enjoy.

much love,

mary morgan

  1. It's true...gray wall go best with white furniture. I've always wanted gray walls...we almost did that in our house, but I just couldn't commit to all white with two dogs and babies. We opted for dark taupe, but some days, I sit back and dream about painting it all over :)...good luck in your search for slipcovers!
