sweet, sweet sugarboo.

there are no words.. for my love of this company.

they are everything that i love about a good company.

run by a husband and wife whose mission is to "make homemade products that add soul to the home," i just cant get enough of their signs and artwork. check out their website here.

and here are some of my personal favorites and commentary,

(awwww.. try not to get all misty eyed on me.)

(so dreamy for a master bedroom.)

(one of my ABSOLUTE favorites, this piece would work ANYWHERE.
i want it above my bed.)

(how sweet is that? again, dont cry. a perfect baby gift. and how cute would it be above a crib?)

(i saved this one for last. its also one of my favorites. and i think it
would just look fantastic on those gray walls i have been talking about that have
been giving me so many problems. so dreamy.)

*on a side note, you may find some artwork that looks very similar to these pieces, but dont buy them. they are not the original. even if they are cheaper, they are not worth it. there are several companies that try to rip off sugarboo's creativity and it just breaks my heart. stay true.

want to buy some sugarboo? guess what, we sell it at lulu, you know the place i work?

what a coincidence? i know. so i guess you are going to have to come see me at work.

and check out our blog here.

see you soon.

much love,

mary morgan

a few updates.

1. we raised $760 at my yard sale a few weeks ago. we were incredibly blessed. and my new yard sale advice? use craigslist, 75% of the people who came read about it on my craigslist ads. and we had a constant flow of people all day.

2. you know how i said i wouldn't pay full price for the boots? my friend works at nordstrom and she said she might be able to pull some strings. its a sign i tell ya.

3. i would like to state that my friend ashleigh speight simmons (find her blog here.) is the person that introduced me to friday night lights, and for that, i owe her my life.

4. i move in two weeks and i have come to the realization that i give up on decorating until i actually move into the space. it is killing me. literally.

5. remember my favorite artist tricia robinson? (please check out her website here and her blog here. ) well we are thinking about carrying her art in our store and i am beyond excited.

and because i hate posts without pictures, here is my favorite piece of her artwork... if you are looking to buy me something, look no further.

(except i want brunettes)

much love,

mary morgan

how great thou art.

this piece was an on going process. i started it this spring, finished the background and then it sat on my dining room table for months. literally, ask my roommates. the reason i couldn't finish it was because i was trying to think of the perfect phrase or quote to write on it. but then it hit me, a hymn. i absolutely love hymns. they are filled with simple truths. i even have a hymns mixed cd. its filled with my favorite country and bluegrass singers singing old songs, and i love it. so do my friends, on a road trip back from atlanta last summer we listened to it the whole way back. okay, enough about hymns.

this is for sale. it is a 12 by 24 acrylic on canvas. the background color is a mossy green, dark robins egg blue center and white lettering. it is $45. please email me at rebeccaandvirginia@gmail.com if you are interested.

words of wisdom.

this hangs above my bed. i hope it brings you a little encouragement and joy today.

it says,
"for beautiful eyes, look for the good in others, for beautiful lips, speak only words of kindness and for poise, walk with the knowledge that you will never be alone."

oh audrey. you are simply wonderful.

pure joy.

i cannot even put into words how much joy the artwork of tricia robinson brings to this young southern girls life. check out her website and adorable blog. i am convinced we are kindred spirits (she talks about anne of green gables a lot) and would love to paint with her one day. on my recent trip to 30-A i halted my bike one day as we were riding past a little art shop to take a peak and i swear my heart skipped a beat, i as so excited! i cant wait till she comes to nashville to the harding academy art show at the end of april! here are some of my favorites (although i am pretty sure i would adore anything she created)....

this cake makes my heart smile every time.

this is the life i have always dreamed of.
home sweet home, dancing in the moonlight and a good southern boy in gingham.

i want to buy this one for my dad, although i just dont think
he would appreciate it as much as i would.

if you are ever having a bad day here is what you need to do:
go get yourself a cruiser, a basket and go for a ride.
it will bring your heart instant joy. pure joy.

thank you for spreading the joy.

much love,

mary morgan
